This month, our Warsaw team had the privilege of undertaking a significant masonry reinforcement project on a stunning historic property near the city. This project highlights our expertise in historic repair and preserving the architectural heritage of Poland. The building, while full of character, exhibited severe wall cracking, a clear sign of structural distress that demanded immediate attention.

Our primary task was to address the compromised foundations and restore the structural integrity of the building without compromising its historical value. Through a detailed assessment, we developed a comprehensive plan to tackle the root cause of the issues, including signs of bulging walls and bowing walls that can result from foundational movement. We provide expert structural advice to guide our clients through these complex issues.

A Comprehensive Solution for Structural Integrity

To address the foundational and wall cracking issues, we utilized our specialized 6mm Bar Flex stainless steel reinforcement bars. These bars were meticulously installed to provide essential tensile strength, effectively tying the masonry together. For a permanent and robust repair, the Bar Flex bars were anchored using Bond Flex cementitious grout. This high-performance grout ensures a powerful, non-shrink bond, filling voids and securing the bars firmly within the structure. This combination is a key component of our masonry renovation services.

In addition to foundational work, we performed targeted crack stitching on the visible cracks. This process involves strategically installing reinforcement bars across the cracks, effectively “stitching” the masonry back together. This not only repaired the existing damage but also prevented further movement and cracking. Our services, which include a full wall tie survey and wall tie replacement if needed, ensure that properties are structurally sound. We’re proud to have given this historic building a new lease on life, ensuring it remains strong and preserved for future generations.
