We were contacted in June 2022 by the client in Farnborough, Hampshire,who was looking to install a new 6m × 6m garage. Because there were trees nearby, the client was unable to mass fill with concrete due to the proximity of the tree roots.
We put together a specification utilising the Heli Pile system, with 60mm Heli Piles to be installed to a depth of two metres at 11 positions, to take a load of between 11-17 kN per position.
The client accepted our quote later in June and we were able to schedule the job for two days in the middle of July. The site team had very few problems and were able to complete the job on time, with the Heli Piles taking
just five and a half hours to drive to the correct depths and achieve the required loads. The fast turnaround allowed the client to start building out of the ground after just a couple of days on site.
