The Challenge

In February 2022, we were asked to survey a property in Newbury, Berkshire.
The client had identified that the front wall has a bulge outwards
more significant at the floor level of the first floor, and they were concerned
that the original wall ties had corroded or snapped.

The Solution

Our surveyor agreed that the bowing was visibly bowing outwards, most pronounced at the first floor level, and specified to install Bow Flex Type2 restraint ties to fix the problem in both that property and the adjoining terraced house to arrest any further outward movement.

Installation

Our team was able to attend site within the same month to complete the works within one day on site. The client was pleased with the result and marked the team’s work as “Excellent”.
