1. Mark the location of the entry point and angle of the Fast Flex on the timber batten.
2. Hold timber batten in correct position against the wall.
3. Pre drill through batten, insulation and into wall using a pilot drill of specified size to a depth of 10 mm more than the length of the fixing to be used.
4. Install the Fast Flex by using the Fast Flex power support tool in a hammer drill.
5. Spacing of fixings and minimum penetration into composite timber will depend upon the loading required and the batten spacing.
6. Make good at the surface of all holes and leave ready for any decoration
A. 8 mm Fast Flex ties are to be used.
B. A 5 or 6 mm pilot drill is to be used.
C. The maximum allowable spacing between battens is 600 mm.
D. The maximum allowable spacing between ties is 600 mm.
E. Where a specific loading is required a test unit can be used to measure the pull outs achievable at various depths of penetration
