1. Locate and mark all loose bricks that need pinning
2. Pin the sound bricks surrounding the area of brickwork that needs replacing using Cem Flex as outlined in CF·14. Leave the Cem Flex for a minimum of 24 hours for the Bond Flex to achieve an initial set
3. Remove the area of brickwork that needs replacing
4. Drill a 6 mm pilot hole into the centre third of the new bricks. Drive a 8 mm Retro Flex tie into each new brick.
5. Mark the position for the tie in the arch ring (using a drilled brick as a guide if necessary). Drill a 10 mm hole and fill with Polyester Resin.
6. Place new brick and tie combination into position and secure with wedges or props as required until Polyester Resin has started to gel (approx 30 mins). Repeat for the remainder of bricks to be replaced
7. Repoint the pinned bricks with Bond Flex by using the Bond Flex gun kit with a Cem Flex nozzle.
A. Length of Cem Flex to be sufficient to allow 70 mm penetration into sound bricks.
