1. Rake out or cut slots into horizontal mortar joints
2. Vacuum out the slots and thoroughly flush with water
3. Using the Bond Flex gun kit, insert a 10 mm depth bead of Bond Flex into back of the slot
4. Push the Bar Flex into the Bond Flex to obtain good coverage
5. Insert a further bead of Bond Flex over the exposed Bar Flex and iron into the slot using the finger
trowel
6. Re-point or fill the rest of the slot and leave ready for decoration
A. Depth of slot is between 25 and 45 mm
B. Vertical spacing between Bar Flex is typically 450 mm (6 brick courses)
C. Bar Flex to extend a minimum of 500 mm each side of the crack
D. Continue Bar Flex at least 100 mm around the corner of the wall and bond as described in method
statement
E. Bar Flex is 6 mm diameter
