1. Complete the upper chord of the lintel repair as in BF·02 (solid wall) or BF·03 (cavity wall)
2. Locate and mark positions of holes on the underside of the soldier course
3. Drill a clearance hole through the outer wall and to the required depth. The Angle of drilling should be such that the hole will pass behind the lower chord of the lintel repair when installed, and penetrate at least 50 mm into the course of masonry above the reinforcing.
4. Blow out the hole and thoroughly flush with water.
5. Fix the Cem Flex nozzle to the Bond Flex gun kit
6. Mix Bond Flex and load into Bond Flex gun kit
7. Pump Bond Flex to the outlet of the nozzle. Insert the nozzle to the full depth of the drilled hole and pump Bond Flex to fill the hole. Keep light pressure on the gun to ensure that all voids are filled with Bond Flex
8. Wind the correct length Cem Flex into the hole using the Cem Flex insertion tool
9. Make good at the surface of all holes and leave ready for any decoration
10. Complete the lower chord of the lintel repair as in BF·02 (solid wall) or BF·03 (cavity wall)
A. Clearance hole to be 13-14 mm diameter depending on the material to be used
B. Top and bottom reinforcements should be positioned as far apart as practicable, up to a maximum distance equivalent to 12 brick courses (approx 900mm).
