1. Rake out or cut slots into horizontal mortar joints
2. Vacuum out the slots and dampen with water
3. Using the Bond Flex gun kit, insert a 10 mm depth bead of Bond Flex into back of the slot
4. Push the Bar Flex into the Bond Flex to obtain good coverage
5. Insert a further bead of Bond Flex over the exposed rod and iron into the slot using the finger trowel
6. Repeat steps 4-5 with a second piece of Bar Flex
7. Re-point or fill the rest of the slot and leave ready for decoration
A. Depth of slot is between 55 and 70 mm
B. For long lengths of Bar Flex, overlap runs by a minimum of 500 mm
C. Top and bottom reinforcements should be positioned as far apart as practicable (maximum 900 mm)
D. All free ends of Bar Flex (including overlaps) should be returned into the wall a minimum of 200 mm
