Robert is a founding member of Target Fixings, having set up the company with his wife, Janet, in 1997.
Robert studied business management whilst training with a large, international engineering manufacturer after leaving school with A levels in the three sciences.
Since the 1980s, he has been involved in supplying solutions to problems within the construction industry and worked with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) and a number of Universities in the UK, Europe, North American and Australia, testing materials and creating design solutions to local issues.
He has overseen the company's growth from a specialist fixings manufacturer into a highly successful structural specialist one-stop-shop - solving, supplying and installing the Target system.
Today, Robert oversees the business operations, ensuring there is strong communication between design, sales and manufacturing. He is involved in specifications - particularly where the design is challenging!
He is also involved with the business's ongoing research with City, University of London, where Target's materials are undergoing testing to ensure a building's structural integrity in seismic areas. Robert would be very proud if his legacy in the industry was able to save even one life in an earthquake.
Target Fixings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Project Holdings, which is owned by the Hall family. We are proud to be a family business.
